hi, can the pipes for this radiator come from the floor?
Yes, just make sure the valves you purchase to go with the radiator are angled valves.
Looking for black radiators, heard they never give out as much heat as the standard white ones, is this true?
To some extent, yes. Painted radiators do give out a little less heat compared to standard white radiators but the difference is minor. It will not impact the radiators ability to produce heat and heat a whole room. However, all of our colours are done by using a powder coating and so the colour makes no difference to the heat output. If you are considering painting a rad yourself, please not the more layers of heat resistant paint you add, the great the impact on performance.
How can I work out which size radiators I need?

Our BTU Calculator tool will help you identify suitable radiators for the specific room(s) in question.

As a guide, in our experience we’ve found the typical room size of the average 3 bedroomed house requires the following radiator sizes:

Lounge = 1400 x 600 double
Dining room = 1200 x 600 double
Kitchen = 900 x 600 double
Bedroom 1 = 1400 x 600 single
Bedroom 2 = 1200 x 600 single
Bedroom 3 = 900 x 600 single
Bathroom = 600 x 600 double

As soon as we process your order, one of our team will either call you to book in your delivery if its a large order that will need confirmation, or you will receive an email with a delivery date in it. (Please ensure you check your spam folders in email)

If the date we notify you of isnt suitable, please call the number in the email to reschedule directly with your delivery depot.

For more information on Deliveries please see our delivery Info page.

What is your delivery charge?

We do charge for delivery in order to keep our prices as low as possible on products.

Delivery is just £7.50 plus VAT for an order under £150 and £12.50 plus VAT for orders over £150 – anywhere in the mainland UK. We keep our products as cheap as we can and don’t hide our delivery charges in the price of what you’re buying – unlike many other heating sites.

Customers inside London’s Congestion Zone will be charged an additional £9.00 delivery surcharge. If you’re unsure if this affects you, please contact the nearest store to you.

Delivery to the Isle of Wight is £30 plus VAT. The delivery is charged at a pallet rate. Orders are sent via courier.

Do you use couriers?

We don't like to use couriers if we can help it.

The items we sell, and the way we sell a lot of it in package deals means our deliveries are bulky and prone to damage when couriers get hold of them.

We will only deliver boilers, radiators and fragile items on our own transport, we reduce any delay or damage to a minimum this way. Couriers do not kno wheating products like we do, it is just another box to move from A to B.

If your order is small, below 2kg we will more than likely deliver via DPD Local on a next day service.

Our own drivers, in our own vans has always been the most efficient way for us to get your order to you safely, and we will always aim to deliver as fast as we can.

For Isle of Wight deliveries, we use a pallet carrier, at £30 per pallet delivery charge.

Do you deliver everywhere in the UK?

We will deliver anywhere on the UK mainland, from Land's End to John O'Groats.

Please refer to our Delivery Information page for more details.

We can deliver to the Isle of Wight through a 3rd party Carrier. This will incur a £30 per pallet delivery charge.

For more information on this service contact our Portsmouth depot.

You can select to pick up your order from one of our branches if you prefer.

Are your products guaranteed?

Yes all our products come with a guarantee.

Guarantees or warranties vary, by product and manufacturer.

All our products are guaranteed for a minimum of 1 year (radiators vary - see individual product specifications, copper tube 25 years) but many offer longer warranties from the manufacturer, which you may need to register for.

On each product, under the specification tab, you will find more information on the guarantee or Warranty.

Follow links through to various manufacturers sites, as each manufacturer will have its own terms and conditions for qualifying for longer warranties.

You do not want to miss out by getting the wrong installer for some boilers etc.

As Boilers and radiators are installed by third parties, they do have to install in compliance with regulations and manufacturer standards to get the full benefit of the warranty.

As long as these are fulfilled, you will get the maximum life and support from your new purchase.

Do I need a magnetic filter on my boiler?

A magnetic filter is an option.

However, you will find some boiler manufacturers insist on certain terms an conditions for extended warranties to qualify.

Any heating system with radiators will eventually form magnetite sludge and it is advised when fitting a new boiler to invest in a magnetic filter to capture this sludge, stopping your radiators and pipework from blockages.

It will extend the life of your heating system when used in conjunction with a system inhibitor to stop the formation of rust.

An inhibitor chemical is a minimum requiremment for your radiator warranty to be valid.

The main difference between a vented and unvented water storage cylinder is that an unvented hot water cylinder takes its water supply directly from the mains.
